Overview of Boron-Nitride Powder
Boron nitride industrial powder is a pure white ceramic material with the hexagonal structure of a crystal similar to graphite. Boron nitride has the ability to withstand temperatures in excess of 2,000 degrees Celsius. Based on the grade of the material, its dielectric strength could be around 1000 volts/mil. Boron Nitride is hot-pressed in forms of billets which can then be easily processed into rods, plates, or bars and even custom-designed shapes .
What's the purposes of Boron Nitride?
.Release Agent for Metal drawing and lubricant for drawing metal.
.Special electrolysis and resistance materials that are in high temperature state.
.High-temperature solid lubricants, extrusion anti-wear additives, additives for the production of ceramic composite materials, refractory materials and antioxidant additives, especially in the case of corrosion resistance of molten metals,heat-enhanced additives,high-temperature insulation materials.
.Heat-sealing desiccant for transistors and additives for polymers , such as plastic resins.
.Pressed into different shapes of boron Nitride products, which can be used as heating, high-pressure, high temperature or heat dissipation parts.
.Thermal shielding materials in aerospace.
.With catalysts, it is possible to convert it into cubic boron nitride which is as hard like diamond after high temperature along with high pressure.
.The structural materials of the nuclear reactor.
.Aircraft,rocket engine nozzle.
.Insulator for High-frequency, high voltage electricity and plasma arches.
.Packaging material to prevent the radiation of neutrons.
.The superhard material made by boron nitride processing could be transformed into high speed tooling and drill bits for exploration and drilling oil.
.Separation ring for continuous casting steel, flow slot for the release agent on continuous cast aluminum(various different optical glass release agents)
.Make any of the vessels to evaporate capacitor films, such as aluminum plating, picture tube aluminum plating aluminum plating, and so on.
.Various fresh-keeping aluminum-plated packaging bags,etc.
.All types of laser anti-counterfeiting aluminum plating and hot stamping products, all kinds of cigarette labels, beer labels, packaging containers, boxes for cigarettes, etc.
.The filler used in cosmetics for lipstick is non-toxic,lubricating and shiny.
For optical applications, due to the high hardness of the c-BN films and the high transmittance across the entire wavelength spectrum from ultraviolet(from around 200 nm)to the far infrared range, it is suitable as a coating on the surface of certain optical components. It is particularly suitable as a coating of window materials like zinc selenide(ZnSe)and zinc sulfide(ZnS).In Additionally, it has high resistance to thermal shock and is hard, and is anticipated to become an optimal windowing material high-power sensors and lasers.
